Overview

Initially Walker & Munns were contacted to provide support on poor internet coverage and a printer issue. Following this, we completed a discovery and designed a consolidated ecosystem covering the network, Google Workspace, endpoint standards, password management, and domain protection identifying opportunities to strengthen cyber security, simplify device management, and improve network reliability across clinical and front‑of‑house areas.

What We Delivered

1. A modern, supportable network

We implemented a brand new firewall, switch, and optimised wireless coverage with a strategically placed access point. Guest/partner connectivity was segmented, updates were automated, and secure remote management was enabled – making ongoing support faster and less disruptive.

2. Google Workspace configured for security and productivity

We aligned Workspace to best practice: least‑privilege admin access, a stronger admin credential with 2‑Step Verification (2SV), Safe Browsing, refined third‑party app access via API controls, and a password policy focused on longer passphrases. We also introduced a staged 2SV rollout approach to support user adoption without disruption.

3. Standardised, low‑maintenance endpoints

Front‑of‑house devices were rebuilt with ChromeOS Flex, and workstations were standardised with Google Chrome devices and peripherals. Sign‑in with Google Workspace credentials now provides a consistent experience and reduces support friction.

4. Modern password management

We introduced a password manager for secure storage and controlled sharing, establishing shared vaults and migrating credentials – supporting safer access and smoother multi‑factor authentication across the team.

5. Email authentication & domain protection

We implemented SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to protect LCP’s email identity and improve deliverability.

6. Cost optimisation without compromise

A light‑touch subscription and telecoms review retired redundant items and right‑sized licences – reducing recurring costs while maintaining capability.
